Patrick Roche of the Contra Costa Community Development Department gave the first of a two part presentation to the El Sobrante Municipal Advisory Council ('MAC') at the regular monthly meeting on May 10, 2006 on the upcoming General Plan (zoning) change for the area (RA) encompassed by the so-called Downtown El Sobrante/Appian Way Redevelopment Plan which Dist. 1 Supervisor John Gioia states is 'no longer on the table' and 'we're not talking about redevelopment now'.

Mr. Roche gave out two bound books: 1) "Charrette Products" which purports to show the results of the Feb. 6, 2004 planning 'charrette' and how the 'community' wants the portion of El Sobrante within the RA to be developed and zoned and 2) a 53 pg bound document entitled "Downtown El Sobrante Transportation and Land Use Plan, Dec. 2001"
